New Zealand Manuka
Manuka honey is a type of honey native to Australia and New Zealand that has been studied for its potential medical properties. One key property of Manuka honey is its antimicrobial activity which has been attributed to its unique chemical composition. It contains a number of naturally occurring compounds including methylglyoxal (MGO), dihydroxyacetone (DHA), hydrogen peroxide, and mannitol. These compounds have been shown to have antimicrobial activity against a number of different types of bacteria, including Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli.
All of our New Zealand Manuka Honey is MGO (methylglyoxal) tested and fully accredited by third party laboratories.
